Senior Adult Ministry

We are currently embarking on two separate areas of ministry. For the more active senior adults, we are starting to have activities to encourage the membership to spend time together in fellowship and fun. In the last two months we have had Saturday afternoon game time. This is a time to share lunch with one another and enjoy each other’s company–so far “Uno” has been the biggest hit. We have tried having a prayer breakfast at Mr. Lou’s, but discovered that the room was a bit too noisy for close fellowship. As a result of this discovery we are seeking a better location. We are in the process of considering a trip to Derby Dinner toward the latter part of July and are weighing other possible short trips in the next few months. We encourage suggestions and invite all interested mature adults to join us.

We also have some members who are unable to get out of the house much. We are blessed to have five men who take time out of their week to call and visit with our members. They are quite a blessing to our shut-ins and also keep the staff abreast of any changes.

We now have a new e~prayer chain and are hoping to coordinate with the children’s ministry for a list of young people that we as mature adults can both lift up in prayer and when a need arises be able to contact those families.
